Plantar Fasciitis/Foot Pain

I had plantar fasciitis so I know first-hand what it feels like!

Plantar Fasciitis is a serious and painful condition that occurs when the long, flat ligament along the bottom of the foot develops tears and inflammation. This ligament is called the plantar fascia and it extends from your toes and runs along the bottom of your foot, attaching to your heel. Over time your arches can begin to fall as your plantar fascia stretches under your weight, leading to inflammation and pain. As your arches continue to fall your gait can become abnormal leading to knee, hip, and lower back pain as well. First we will do a thorough history and examination of your feet before making recommendations for care. After the exam we will discuss what treatments will be most effective which can include chiropractic adjustment to re-align the bones in the foot, supporting the three arches of the feet with custom foot orthotics, rehab exercises as appropriate, high power laser therapy to decrease pain and inflammation while stimulating healing of the plantar fascia. We also now offer compressed shockwave therapy to break up chronic adhesions that may have formed in the small muscles and plantar fascia! Our clinic has had great success with treating plantar fasciitis and foot pain. When your feet hurt your whole body hurts so call the office today and start walking again!
