Hip Pain

The hip joint is a major weight-bearing joint of our body and allows us to walk and run. Hip pain can greatly affect our quality of life, ability to sleep on the affected side, ability to work, and ability to perform basic activities of daily living. Many times hip pain can be caused by problems in another area of the body including the spine, sacroiliac joints, knees and feet.

After a history and thorough examination, we will determine what is actually causing you hip pain and then develop a care plan addressing the causes so that the hip can heal, the pain decreases, and your quality of life improves.

Typical medical treatment includes cortisone shots, anti-inflammatory drugs, and pain medications. These can help reduce inflammation and pain, but do not always address the cause, so the hip pain recurs or never goes away. If you are tired of living with hip pain or taking dangerous medications, please give our office a call and let us help you get back to sleeping restfully and walking better again!
