Dr. Steph graduated Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida in September 2011. She is a Beaver County native and joined our staff in October 2011. While at Palmer, she became proficient in the techniques taught in the academic curriculum including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator method and lumbar flexion/distraction techniques. In addition, she is learning muscle release techniques and developing a broad knowledge in the many aspects of rehabilitation. In the Palmer clinic, she focused on pediatric chiropractic care as well as chiropractic care through pregnancy. Dr. Steph spent 6 months at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System - Olin E. Teague Medical Center as a chiropractic intern. The multi-disciplinary internship afforded her an opportunity to work in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services department of the hospital.
Prior to attending Palmer, Dr. Steph graduated from St. Francis University with a B.S. in Chemistry. She was active in undergraduate research in electro-chemistry; her research group published a paper in the Journal of Physical Chemistry in 2008. Dr. Steph was a member of the women's golf team and her passion for science and sports were driving factors in her decision to enter the field of chiropractic.
Dr. Steph believes in always doing what is best for the patient. Her experiences in workingwith various medical professionals in the VA have taught her the value of co-managing patient care with the patient's other medical providers; this ensures improvement in the overall health of her patients. Her philosophy is that chiropractic care, when appropriate, is an excellent option to heal the body without pharmaceutical and surgical interventions.
